doc, did i have to do surgery because my left eyes have blocked tear ducts since 2020 nad now im 12 years old
Dr. you explained that so well. Thank you! My problem is I can’t find an ophthalmologist that does the external surgery for a blocked tear duct. I live in the Fort Worth area in Texas if anyone knows of an eye doctor, please let me know. I think I have called every ophthalmologist online…to no avail. I have a cataract in the eye that has the blocked tear duct. The doctor won’t do my cataract surgery until I get the blocked tear duct fixed. He says it won’t heal properly so….. Please help!!! Thank you T. Wood
Dr. I have done skin pinch blephroplasty in that doctor remove more skin it's his nigligence.and in left eye I got retraction ectropian.later on one oculoplasty surgeon put hylronic acid filler six month is almost over. Now half of the filler effect reduce. But almost all irritation and discomfort is over and planning to go for correction surgery .so I have heard spacer graft is also help ful to rectify this problem? Is it true? And skin graft is also the option but aesthetically it looks weird. So what should I do? Pls. Guide me
I am having this done on the 24th Jan 24 both eyes have blocked tear ducts. Pray for me yall.😢😢
How did your procedure go?
How did it go? I have been recommended the surgery,
Omg it's been a battle for almost 3 months. I'm in Trail BC and had gone to the hospital 7 times, they kept giving me pink eye medicine. Found out I was born with a blocked tear duct in the same eye. The doctors at the hospital had no idea what it was. Thank you RUclips ❤️ Specialist on the 8th.I cannot wait till this is fixed
Nice video. You provided some good informations for the viewers.
There you are complications overweight the benefits! Too risky! Thanks for explaining!
how do I get your contacts? I have that problem
Does it ever go away permanently?
Hypochlorus acid. Clean the eyelids twice a day. Moist flannel microwaved for 30 seconds and held on the eye until it cools. Masks don’t work for me at all. Eye drops if they feel gritty.
I was just diagnosed with this and I didn't know what was going on. Thankyou for this great video.
after having cataracts done, my dry eye is so much worse, I worry that rubbing them will dislodge things?
Lost my lashes Have it for yrs Have chronic bacterial infections in body Frustrating
Did your eyelashes grow back ?
I’m getting it done tomorrow!
Me too
How did it go? I have a pre operation assessment on the 1st of Feb which they'll tell me my surgery date. I'm feeling nervous lol
@@stevegoggin6708 It went well. You really have to follow the rules post operation! Do that and you will be ok. Be patient. It takes a while to see the success of the procedure. I am still not completely normal yet…and it’s been over a month since I had the procedure. Just throwing that out there; however; my tears are draining waaay better than they used to…hope that helps
@Josh Kohl I'm in the UK but I don't think the operation is any different to the US. I was told if I sneezed the temporary tube could pop out and push it back in, has that happened to you? Also to sneeze with my eye open I think. Have you had any issues after sneezing since the op?
@@stevegoggin6708 I was told to sneeze with my mouth WIDE open…and so I did…it’s very loud! Ha ha ha
Western Medicine: "Here, let me bore a superfluous hole in your face and give up on actually treating your condition." 😒
Can under eye swelling, like a fluid bag occur with a blocked tear duct? I have a fluid bags that comes and goes, under one eye, along with intermittent eye infections in same.
Is this a cantopexia or a cantoplasty?
Is it permanent?

Do you clean the outside lash line or the inside lash line?
My Dr. ordered antibiotic ointment that really helps. Don’t wear eye makeup and stay away from chemicals or it flares up.
What ointment was that?
I have been suffering from this since my 20 years of age and now i am 65. I always keep a clean tissue with me. Tearing is more when i walk in windy weather. When i did jal nethi kriya and eye cleaning(nethra sudhi) with eye cups using a herbal water when i visited in Jindal Nature Cure Institute, India, for 15 days my tears stopped for about six months and then again came back.
I am going in for this surgery, at the moment in agony eye watering treats down my face and a. huge lump near my nose and corner of my eye, the lump as been squeezed all gung came out, will this lump go away after surgery?
I suggest having your eyelids debrided and lash line cleaned by an eye specialist
Don't bother with a washcloth.
Why
What else is there to do
Eye bath or cloth is fine
Had right eye surgery twice. Lower eyelid still turns in.
do you have any scarring?
What did the doctors say?
i have to take tobramycin once a day. unfortunately i think my body finally started adapting to it as i am getting symptoms like i used to . oddly, my eyes stay fairly clean and dont itch, but i get this odd blurry vision like haze thing going. i do warm compresses three times a day cause those things help a good amount in helping the strain on the eye
I have had the stent since 2011, it's been a little over 10 years. The doctor decided to leave it in because the first surgery I had the stent was removed and my eye kept tearing. Now it's bothering me and it keeps itching and tearing, any possibilities that I won't have any tears if it's removed after 10 years?
this lady has such a fake looking nose job
My tear duct is blocked n im 24yrs old ...n i dont want external surgery bcz of scar..what to do plz tell
So I will have this for the rest of my life?????? I can’t do this
Yup. I’m 13 and have had it for a year
Just got diagnosed today and that's all I can think about. I hate that there is no cure. But I was told 15 years ago that my migraine was chronic and was no cure for it, but I haven't had a headache in the last 14 years so nothing is written on a stone, just do your best to manage the symptoms and hope for the best
@@simontsegay7959 thank u for ur kind words! I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago. I used warm compress multiples times a day for a week and it didn’t work. I started using oral antibiotics last week Monday and my blepharitis has completely cleared up. Hopefully it’s permanent

Did u find a good treatment finally?
What worked for me is applying aloe Vera gel over eyelid and lash line, also helps dry eye,I use the gel straight out of the plant, works great
Did it go away ?
@@jjr929 it went away but at the time I was using glue products for eye lashes which I think caused blepharitis but now I have crusty on lash line that I pull off with tweezers because soap n water does not remove it, and I wipe lash line with a qtip dipped in witch hazel to keep it clean
It doesn't go away you have it for life and it does take your sight in the end believe me i am seventy seven and it is taking my sight
@@maryisabel2115 that sounds painful
I've had this surgery and I can tell you that it's no picnic, you have a black swollen eye for a few months, stitches inside and outside your nose (but a plastic surgeon does them so the scar fades quickly), a tiny tube inside the tear duct for around four months, you have to use ointment a couple of times a day, and you've not allowed to blow your nose........is it worth it? Absolutely! The misery of tears constantly running down your face is a nightmare, and a few months of inconvenience is well worth it (buy some sunglasses!). I highly recommend that if you have this problem, get the surgery...it will change your life!
Hi Elizabeth, do you have problems now? I have to do the surgery in 2 weeks.
@@emilia28100 hi it has been 2 weeks did you get the surgery done? How was it? I have the same issue but my doctor hasn't said anything about surgery i am so scare he ask me for that.
@@emilia28100 Hello,how is it your surgery?Thank you.
I got the external DCR and it just ruined me. I had eye infection in both eyes, go to eye doctor and he says lets go with DCR surgery and I believe him and do it, so we do the left one first, the right one will be done a few months after the left one, but my right eye and tear duct healed on its own. The left side has constantly given me problems. It is not blocked but it is just a sensitive eye now, I wish I could get the hole they made inside of the nose closed. Sometimes I'm fine and have no symptoms but I just notice at times my left caruncle is sensitive and gives me problems. I also have no real allergies and can breath easily through my nose. I have no problems at all now on my right eye and my surgery was over ten years ago.
How does it feel when u have a blocked tear duct? And how long did it take to heal itself im really concerned my two eyes feels sticky should i go to the doctor or give it days to treat it self
ruclips.net/video/-uar4WdR5eY/видео.html
Right now i have it. Can i ask i can get rid it? Or it is permanent?
In most cases, blepharitis is chronic, meaning ongoing. You can soothe it with good eye hygiene, but neglecting your eyes will cause it to return.
Great presenter and nice presentation!
Eyedrops and ointments can be used to manage symptoms and protect your cornea until a permanent treatment is done. Most cases of ectropion require surgery....Refer from www.pediatriconcall.com/articles/pediatric-ophthalmology/ectropion-drooping-eyelids/ectropion-drooping-eyelids-patient-education#1428

Update it’s all gone!!!!
@@taramarie940 Really?? What did you do? I've had some chazalions for almost a year now and my appointments keep getting rescheduled due to COVID 19. Ive tried lots of warm compresses and salt wipes but nothing has worked. It really hurts my confidence..
@@taramarie940 Ok ill try to get a Doctors appointment and try some treatments. You didn't have any surgery did you?
TechPanda omg no! Once I got on the prednisone it helped so much . I also bought hypochlorous acid spray and it helped. Idk how bad yours is but mine was really bed it looked like I got punched in the eye for almost two weeks till I went in the prednisone, if your doctor doesn’t prescribe prednisone definitely ask for it because it will help , and if for some reason it doesn’t get the spray I just told you about . Stay away from contacts if you wear them and anything eles touching your eles .

Thank you 😊 to advancement in surgeries. I have to get this surgery. 😊 Thank you for education us.
I work for an ophthalmologist at the moment. Lol The warm wash cloth is actually very magical. If you stay consistent you might be surprised. We do a lot of temp plugs and a lot of patients come back for permanent ones. I’m hoping your doctor isn’t “lazy” considering it took 14-15 years of school to be able to practice… it never hurts to get a second opinion. It just hurts your wallet. 😂 2 years later. Hope you’re all better ❤
The fact that it doesn't go away is so frustrating 😥😟
I live in fear. My eyelids felt weird a while ago in one eye and I couldn’t find anything on the internet then crusty eyelashes and me furiously searching for other eye ailments with crusty eye lashes
I know I am so sad, why did this just start two months ago? Now it’s permanent even though I haven’t had this before now? So difficult as a makeup lover I have not worn eyeshadow in weeks.
